Embers 余烬Jun 2025 - Ongoing"Embers" begins in the stadium after the final whistle. As the roaring tide of the crowd recedes, I choose to remain alone amidst the aftermath of collective revelry. The empty stands and the scattered debris form a vast still life—these are the "Embers" left behind after the fire of shared emotion has burned out.
Here, beer cups, food wrappers, and lost scarves are no longer mere trash; they are the relics of a ritual, the material evidence of consumable passion. My lens focuses on these abandoned objects and the suddenly silent public space they occupy. I seek to capture a poetry of the aftermath: the cheers are absent, yet their shape is preserved through these residues.
This project is a quiet archaeology of modern tribal rites. It explores the form of a collective identity at the very moment of its dissipation, and the meditation on consumption and the nature of existence that is revealed in the hushed interval after the spectacle has ended.
“余烬”始于赛终哨响之后的体育场。当鼎沸的人声如潮水般退去,我选择独自留下,与狂欢过后的一地残骸共处。空荡的看台与散落的垃圾,共同构成了一幅巨大的静物画——这是集体情感燃烧殆尽后留下的“余烬”。
在此,啤酒杯、包装纸和遗失的围巾不再是单纯的废弃物,它们是仪式的遗迹,是消耗性热情的物证。我的镜头聚焦于这些被遗弃的物件,以及它们所占据的那个突然陷入沉寂的公共空间。我试图捕捉的,是一种存在于终局之后的诗意:欢呼已然缺席,但其形状却通过这些残留物得以保存。
这个项目是对现代部落仪式的安静考古。它探讨了集体身份在消散瞬间所呈现的形态,以及在那绚烂过后、万物沉寂的缝隙中,所显露出的,关于消耗与存在本质的沉思。
